Rail & Transit

Five Areas of Rail Engineering

Rail assets are expensive to acquire and expensive to sit idle. A locomotive out of service, a workshop without the right tooling, a rail line waiting on alignment work — all of it has a cost. Our work is built around reducing that downtime, whether the need is a single component or a full depot upgrade.

We work across five areas. Each one is engineering-led, not just a parts or labor service.

01

Locomotives & Transit

We work on diesel-electric and electric locomotives, metro and LRT systems, and shunting or industrial rail assets. Our engineering team handles the full technical scope, from assessment to commissioning.

This includes structural and mechanical evaluation, propulsion and control system work, and integration with existing fleet standards. We don't hand off a locomotive and walk away. We stay through testing and commissioning to confirm it performs as specified.

Diesel-Electric & Electric Locomotives
Engineering and technical support across both propulsion types.
Metro & LRT
Systems work for metro and light rail transit assets.
Shunting & Industrial Rail
Support for shunting locomotives and industrial rail assets outside standard mainline service.
02

Locomotive Aftermarket

We support EMD, GE, and ALCO platforms with engine and power components, pumps, fuel systems, and overhaul kits. When a part is no longer made, we don't stop there. We reverse-engineer it and rebuild it to spec.

Obsolescence is one of the biggest challenges operators face with ageing fleets. A single unavailable part can take a locomotive out of service indefinitely. Our sourcing and engineering process is built to keep older platforms running without forcing a full fleet replacement.

EMD | GE | ALCO
Aftermarket support across all three platforms.
Engine & Power Components
Sourcing and supply for core engine and power system parts.
Pumps & Fuel Systems
Components and support for fuel delivery and pump systems.
Overhaul Kits
Complete kits built for scheduled overhaul work.
Legacy / Obsolete Parts
Sourcing for components no longer in standard production.
Reverse Engineering
Where a part can't be sourced, we rebuild it from the original design.

Traction Systems

We handle traction motor rewinding, repair, and dynamic testing, along with wheelset and axle inspection and overhaul. Every unit is tested before it goes back into service.

Traction motors and wheelsets take on constant mechanical and electrical stress. Left unchecked, wear in these components shows up as reduced performance long before failure. Our inspection and testing process is built to catch that early, so overhaul happens on schedule, not in an emergency.

Traction Motors
Overhaul and support for traction motor systems.
Rewinding & Repair
Motor rewinding and targeted repair work.
Dynamic Testing
Performance testing under real operating conditions.
Wheelsets & Axles
Inspection, overhaul, and support for wheelsets and axles.
Inspection & Overhaul
Scheduled inspection and overhaul to catch wear before failure.
04

Rail Infrastructure

We deliver track laying, alignment, and geometry work, along with the civil works behind them. This covers both ballasted and non-ballasted tracks.

This work spans new track construction and rehabilitation of existing lines. Alignment and geometry accuracy directly affect ride quality, wear rates, and long-term maintenance costs, so precision at this stage matters well beyond the installation itself.

Track Laying
New track construction work.
Alignment & Geometry
Precision alignment work that affects ride quality and long-term wear.
Civil Works
The civil engineering work that supports track construction and rehabilitation.
Ballasted / Non-Ballasted Track
Work across both track types, matched to the project's requirements.
05

Depot & Workshop Engineering

We design and build maintenance workshops, specialized tooling, test benches, and lifting or hydraulic systems. This is the infrastructure that keeps your maintenance operations running.

A workshop is only as capable as its tooling. We design facilities and equipment around the specific fleet and maintenance workload they need to support, not generic specifications. That includes lifting systems sized for your rolling stock and test benches configured for the components you service most.

Maintenance Workshops
Workshop design and build for fleet maintenance operations.
Specialized Tooling
Tooling built for the specific equipment and maintenance work involved.
Test Benches
Test benches configured for the components serviced most.
Lifting & Hydraulic Systems
Lifting and hydraulic infrastructure sized to the fleet being maintained.
